About the Illustrator

Jeff Lichtman, the author of Baseball for Rookies, can't draw (much). He hired Paul Tokmakian to do the parts of the book that require actual artistic ability.

Paul is an illustrator and graphic designer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a young man (11 years old) he considered playing pro ball. However, the scouts never called and he realized that his talent lay in holding a pencil, not a baseball bat.

When not drawing or designing, Paul, together with his partner Judy, takes care of his infant daughter and three other children. Oh wait, reverse that.

Those interested in his services can reach Paul by visiting the contact page. To those baseball scouts who are interested, you're too late. Paul stopped playing seriously years ago.
